TELEPRECENSE REMOTE CONTROL RACES
(Still on going planning for Races.)
The Moon Society Phoenix is still working on the Teleprecense Remote Control races.
Check this blog for details as they develop.
We are still discussing set-ups, rules, equipment and sponsorship rules at this time and it appears that the races wont occur until sometime in the late winter or early spring.
All races will be open to all comers, however, judging maybe bases on age and type (cost) of RV Car. If you prefer to buy your own car and practice for the races, then you will need a three (3) channel RC Car that can be purchased at Walmart, Target or another store. You will need a minature TV camera, a transmitter, a receiver and a device to display the picture from the Car so that you can practice driving the Car by use of the TV System only.
In the talking stages are basic racing, advanced races, and the Lunar Challenge, race heats may be run against the clock and/or one on one or more.
If you have comments and suggestions please make your comments to this blog or send them to me at portercd@msn.com Subject RC Racing.
Demonstrations of the Race Cars will be available at CopperCon32 at the Moon Society Outreach Table.

COPPERCON 28
CopperCon 28 was an unquallified success for the Moon Society.
.
We presented three lectures with question and answers participation.
Chuck's Solor Power presentration was the most popular by far.
Bonnie's Moon presentation was a close second with many participants.
Craig's presentation was the least attended of the presentations, but it had good participation on Sunday Afternoon.
.
We had a meet the Moon Society session to introdsuce the attendees to the Moon Society and what we do, including meeting times and frequencies.
.
Chuck's and readings were poorly attended.
.
The Autograph sessions for Bonnie and Chuck wer not well attended.
.
All had a good time with volunteer support by Stuart and David.

DESIGN PROJECT
DESIGN PROJECT
I am establishing a design project for a suitcase sized demonstrator for both a rail gun and a Mass Thruster. Volunteers are wanted to help design, build and finance these demonstrators. Each person that volunteers will be rewarded with thanks and names published in this blog and as demonstrators if they so want.
Volunteers are invited to reply to the comments section of this blog article. By volunteering and joining the Moon Society it will insure that you are recognized nationally for you work. We will supply plans and material lists to any chapter that desires to build a demonstrator or any bona fide Science Teacher.
The first demonstrators will be for use in the class room or lecture hall with adjustable power settings and safe guards. Later demonstrators maybe build for use in the field with the appropriate safe guards and controls.
