ELECTIONS MEETING

At the December 2009 meeting the elections for the coming year were held.

I, Craig Porter, was reelected as the Chapter President, Chuck Lesher was reelected to the Vice Presidency along with Patti and Mike was reelected as Treasurer. Don Jacques declined to run for reelection as President because of other needs and projects.

Don has a project in progress for a Lunar Habitat that he is working on.

Chuck is trying to finish the rewrite of his book with the completion of the sequel.
Patti is also working on the sequel to her book.
Look for them on Amazon some time after the first of the year.
I'm working on a display wall for use when we have a booth or outreach table at a Convention or other event.

Anyone who is interested in joining us for our monthly meeting please feel free to meet with us.
Come share your concerns about our future on the Moon and the development of the Hub for Planetary exploration and the test bed for mining the asteroids for their resources to benefit the Earth's ecology.

The meeting will continue to be held the third Saturday of the month at Denny's on the South East corner of US 60 and Rural Road. The time remains the same, 3:PM.

RECYCLING ELECTRONICS

I would like to thank the following corporation for its assistance in my recycling computer components, including three CRT Monitors, a tower, a keyboard and a VCR.

EARTH PROTECTION SERVICES, INC. EPSI
Conducts Electronic Product Recycling & Recovery services in thevalley and across the country. It is primarily associated with Sony, Zenith, LG and Goldstar electronics. They conduct week-end events where they gather all brands for recycling. At other times trhey will accept the products that are manufactured by the above Manufacturers for free recyclying but products are processed for a small fee.

Because I was the member of a non-profit Organization, they waived the fee.

COPPERCON 28

CopperCon 28 was an unquallified success for the Moon Society.
.
We presented three lectures with question and answers participation.
Chuck's Solor Power presentration was the most popular by far.
Bonnie's Moon presentation was a close second with many participants.
Craig's presentation was the least attended of the presentations, but it had good participation on Sunday Afternoon.
.
We had a meet the Moon Society session to introdsuce the attendees to the Moon Society and what we do, including meeting times and frequencies.
.
Chuck's and readings were poorly attended.
.
The Autograph sessions for Bonnie and Chuck wer not well attended.
.
All had a good time with volunteer support by Stuart and David.

STAR WARS "BAD GUYS"

The Arizona Chapter of the International Star Wars costuming club known as the 501st Legion shown at the Yuri's Night Party on April 12th at the Chalenger Center in Peoria.

The 501st Legion support various Charity functions dressed as the "Bad Guys" from Star Wars.

This coming week end they will appear at a Phoenix Prowlers Woman's Professional Football League game at Mesa Community College, 1833 W. Southern Ave, the time it starts is 7:00 PM.

The appearenc will benefit Phoenix children's Hospital.
